Seller Won't Ship to the Forwarding Warehouse - What Do I Do?
Some sellers refuse to ship to a forwarding address, usually because they're worried about fraudulent orders or seller-rating manipulation. Here are four ways to handle it.
Method 1: Contact the Seller First
Before placing the order, message the seller via Wangwang and explain: "I live overseas and need to ship to a domestic forwarding warehouse, which will then forward the parcel internationally." Most sellers will fulfill the order without any problem once they understand.
Method 2: Add a Note at Checkout
In the order note field, write something like: "I am an overseas buyer. The delivery address is a forwarding warehouse - this is not a fraudulent transaction." A short note often puts the seller at ease and greatly increases the likelihood of them sending the order.
Method 3: Find a Forwarding-Friendly Seller
When searching for a product, look through the reviews for keywords like "forwarding" or "overseas" to find sellers who have successfully shipped to warehouses before. Or simply ask the seller directly: "Do you ship to a forwarding warehouse?"
Method 4: Refund and Try Another Seller
If the seller still refuses, request a refund and find another seller offering the same product who supports forwarding. Most products on Taobao have multiple sellers - finding one that's forwarding-friendly usually doesn't take long.
